Nicholai POV

I was so shocked to see my parents and Adrianna with her husband, Lucas and my niece, Addie standing at my doorway. It was quarter to 10:00 in a cold Saturday morning. And I was wearing just my jeans.

"Surprise." Addie yelled.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I was really not expecting them.

"Is that the way to greet your family, Nicky. You wound me." My mom stated dramatically.

"I miss you son." Dad said and embraced me tightly.

"Miss you too." I guided inside. "How is my most beautiful princess in the whole wide world?" I carried my three year old niece and tickled her.

"Uncle Nick, I miss you." She yelled and giggled at the same time.

We tried to catch up while I kept tickling Addie. Apparently, they plan to celebrate her birthday here in New York. I put her down the couch when an almost naked Cassie come out my room wearing just my half closed shirt.

"Nicholai, why did you leave me alone in bed." She said lazily her eyes still shut close.

"Hi, sweetie. Good morning." My mom greeted her while Lucas and dad look anywhere but her.

"Oh shit!" She said in horror. "I'm sorry." She immediately run back our room.

"That was surprising." Adrianna said trying not to laugh.

"Excuse me. I need to check on her." I stood up scrathing my head.

The moment I entered our room pillows started flying at my directions. I tried not to get hit but she aimed at me well. She was definitely embarrassed.

"Angel." I embraced her. "Please calm down."

"Why didn't you warn me that their here?" She said annoyingly pushing me away from her. "I look like shit."

"Of course not." I pin her on the bed. "Do you realize how tempting you are?" I started to unbotton the shirt she was wearing. "You are hot. And you drive me crazy."

"Nicholai, stop." She said but her hands were already trying to get rid of my pants. "That feels good." She moaned as I started kissing her bare skin.

"You feel great." I replied huskily.

We were hungrily kissing each other that we lost track of the moment. We were already both naked and I was about bury myself inside her when a loud knock starled us.

"Nicky!" Adrianna shouted. "Are you two alright, you said you'll check on her it has been 15 minutes and you haven't come out yet."

"Give me a few minutes." I yelled. "I'll be right out." I got off the bed and smiled wickedly at my angel.

"That was uncalled for. I totally forgot they were here." She said burying her face in the bed.

"I'll go check on them." I said putting my clothes on. "Just join us when you're ready, angel."

"Can I just stay here until they leave." She said pouting.

"Angel, they already know your here. So you can't do that. We'll wait for you outside." I went out our room.

"So, where is she?" Lucas ask.

"What were you two doing in there?" Adrianna teased.

"What normal couples do when they lock themselve inside their bedroom."

"What's that?" Addie asked curiously. "What were you doing?" We all started laughing and Addie looked at us puzzled.

"Nothing princess."

"So does she sleeps here often." My mom ask.

"No mom. She lives here." I admitted.

"Your living in together?" My dad ask.

"Yes. We've been together even before I introduce her to all of you. Can we just drop this. I mean my girlfriend will be coming out any minute now. I don't think it's good that we talk about her behind her back."

"Okay then. Will talk about this with both of you are here." My mom declared.

Cassie POV

The moment Nicholai went out our room I immediately run in the bathroom and took the quickest shower I can. And put on a dress and applied a light make up. I wanted to look good so they can forget the image of me walking out the room almost naked.

"Hello, good morning everyone." I tried to smile confidently. "I'm so sorry about earlier."

"No worries dear." Nicholas responded. "We have caught my son with other girls before in a more compromising situation."

"Dad please. Knock it off." Nicholai said. "Angel, meet Lucas, Adrianna's husband."

"Oh, hi." Lucas kissed my cheeks. "Please call me Cassie."

"Alright, please to meet you, Cassie."

"And meet my princess, Addie." Nicholai said carrying a cute little girl. "Princess, this is my angel, Cassie. Say hello to her."

"Hello." She stared at me. "Where's your wings? Uncle said you are an angel. Why don't you have wings?"

"You're smart." I said smiling at her.

"Princess, only I can see her wings since she's my angel. It's not something that others are allowed to see. Its for my eyes only."

"Really?" Addie asked believing him.

"Nicky, stop feeding lies to my kid. Princess she's not a real angel. Aunt Cassie is Uncle Nick's girlfriend." Adrianna explained.

"But why does Uncle Nick call her angel..." She asked confused.

"Because princess, my angel brings me to heaven everytime we can." Nicholai said suggestively.

"Nicholai Alexander, you are not being funny." I said in a very serious tone my face flushed.

"Thank goodness, Addie rarely sees you. If she does my kid would have adopted to your craziness."

"What did I say?" Nicholai said.

"Anyway kidding aside. What are your plans, you two?" Nicholas ask.

"Plans?" I asked surprised.

"We are already talking about kids. When are you two planning to get married?" Samantha ask excitedly.

"Mom, we haven't really talk about marriage yet." Nicholai said. "We are quiet busy practicing on how to make babies."

"Nicholai!" I said embarrassed.

"Well, you talked about making babies. I mean you need to get married first before living together or having kids."

"That was before mom." Adrianna said. "Now couples are more liberated. They stay together even without marriage. Stop trying to act so damn conservative."

"Adrianna, you do not talk to your mother that way." Nicholas said. "But seriously you two, don't you have any plans getting married."

"None yet." I said. "I mean we are okay with our current set up for now. We're happy."

"That's right so please let's stop this discussion before you scare my angel away from me." Nicholai kissed my forehead and smiled at me.

"How are babies made?" Addie ask curiously staring at me.

"I think you should ask your mommy about that." I said panicking.

"Princess, babies are made when mommies and daddies love each other. Babies are the fruit of their love. Just like you." Nicholai explain.

"Really? So you and aunt Cassie will have a baby cause you love her?" Addie ask excitedly.

"Well, not yet princess." He replied.

Not yet what Nicholai. Not yet having a baby or not yet love me.

They stayed till lunch and left except for Adrianna. She said she wanted to bond with us. But it was more likely to interrogate us.

"So, why haven't you mentioned to me that you two are living in together? We talk regularly and you didn't say a word to me."

"Sis, serously. Stop it. Our parents also just found out today."

"Okay, fine." She smiled at me. "So Cassie what did you see in my crazy brother that you agreed to stay here."

"I fell in love with him." I replied honestly. "He drives me crazy."

"I know. You also drive me crazy, angel." Nicholai said playing with my fingers. "You are special."

"I didn't realize I can see you this happy again, Nicky. I'm happy for you." Adrianna said. "Anyways, I have something important to tell you. It's about Amanda's older brother."

"I should go. So you two can talk privately." I stood up to leave but Nicholai pulled me down on his lap and embrace me.

"Stay." He said. "What about him?"

"He escaped from prison last week." Adrianna said. "So, I want you to be careful."

"Who else know?" Nicholai asked.

"Everyone. Including his parents. Dad already had the FBI alerted so please be careful." Adrianna sttaed seriously.

"Why was he in prison?" I ask confused staring at them.

"He tried to kill Nick. In the process he ended up killing innocent people." Adrianna said sadly.

"Why did he do that? Why would he want to kill you." I said shocked and started walking back and forth the living room.

"Because I killed her." Tears started falling down his eyes. "He wanted revenge because I killed Amanda."

"You didn't kill her!" Adrianna yelled at him. "It was an accident."

"It was my fault. I killed them." He said crying out loud.

It was the first time I saw him cry. He was hurt and was not trying to mask it. He looked so damn defeated and it surprised me. It breaks my heart to see him this way. Amanda was dead and he blames himself for it.

"Nicholai, please don't say that." I tried to calm him down. "Your sister says it was an accident."

"An accident? None of you were with us that night. It was my fault I killed the woman that I love. The woman I promised to protect from this world. I killed them." He yelled at me and walked out the apartment.

After a few minutes Adrianna left. I felt so crushed. He just admitted that he love Amanda. And that she's dead. I wanted to make him feel better but he turned it down and left. Why is this happening to my life? When everything is so perfect it shutters down on me.

I drove myself to Gabby's house when it has been three hours since Nicholai left. The moment Gabby opened the door I lost it.

"What's wrong?" She tried to try calm me down as I cry my heart out.

"He loves her." I cried. "He left me."

"Best, you need to calm down."

After an hour while telling Gabby what happened Jake got home and looked surprised when he saw me crying.

"Cassie, what's wrong?" He asked.

"Your jerk best friend. That's what!" Gabby hissed at Jake.

"What did he do?" Jake ask confused.

"He left me." I cried more. "He loves her."

Gabby calmed me down and lay in bed with me. I saw Jake pissed while trying to call Nicholai. I drift off to sleep with a heavy heart.
